I prepared this short introduction to Docker for my research group a few months ago. I decided to turn it into a blog post since I have already gone through the effort of writing it, so I might as well share it with the world! Read more

I am quite interested in learning more about deep learning, but I find it quite difficult to implement some of the recent models on my laptop, due to their huge computational overhead on the CPU. Since, I do not have £1000 to spend on a new Titan X, I decided to try a cheaper solution on Microsoft’s cloud service Azure. If you are in a similar position to me, you might find this blog post helpful as I detail the setup of the cloud solution I used. Read more

Multi-task learning refers to a framework in machine learning where multiple tasks sharing a common domain are learned simultaneously. In this talk, I explained how to incorporate this framework within Bayesian modelling using Gaussian process models. The talk describes the general structure of a multi-output GP, and explores some of the most common kernel structures that correspond to such models. The sildes are available here. Read more

In this tutorial, I gave a quick overview of some inference methods for Gaussian Processes with non-Gaussian likelihoods. The slides can be found here. Read more
